| 29.01.10 | Phase 1 rollout of 550 police interview recorders throughout Victoria now complete |
Over the past nine months Evidence Technology has commissioned in excess of 550 police interview recorders throughout the state of Victoria.
The equipment has been provisioned by Amber Technology as part of the first phase of Victoria Police (VICPOL) state-wide digital evidence capture program.
Tony Marshall, Senior Field Technician for Evidence Technology in Melbourne says, “the rollout was completed ahead of schedule and on budget”.
Deployment teams including personnel from Evidence Technology and VICPOL Business Solutions Unit have traveled to every corner of the state,
installing equipment and training users across 350 metro and regional stations”.
Portable units are now being added to the mix and Evidence Technology are providing around-the-clock (24x7) helpdesk and callout services.
Ben Paterson, Evidence Technology Victorian Practice Manager says “VICPOL investment in digital evidence capture systems is paving the way for cost
effective management of evidentiary media.”
Evidence Technology is a sub contractor to Amber Technology and is responsible for the commissioning and support of the DEC units for VICPOL.
Ben stated, “I am very happy with progress on this project so far and pleased with what seems to be evolving into a very success business synergy
with Amber Technology”
