| 12.01.09 | Evidence Technology teams with The Centre for Legal and Court Technology (Virginia, Washington) to deliver continuing professional education... |
For the first time, The College of Law offered practitioners an opportunity to learn more about current courtroom technology and
its implications on case preparation and the delivery of evidence.
In coordination with The Centre for Legal and Court Technology and the Courtroom 21 Project in Williamsburg, Virginia, Evidence
Technology provided some practical insights to the digital courtroom. The evening session included a guided tour through the new
Queen Square Courts in Sydney.
Adrian Alback, Courtroom Technology Manager for the Federal Court of Australia was generous to offer his time and support to lead a
brief courtroom tour and answer questions. Adrian said “at first people were a little timid to ask questions”.
He went on to say “there seems to be a real need for more practical and vocational support for courtroom users. Parties want
to know how to prepare evidentiary media to take advantage of some of the more advanced display systems and features of the new
courtrooms”.
The College of Law publishes a wide range of continuing professional education programs via a print catalogue and on its website.
