| 04.05.09 | Evidence Technology executes important ICT contract with NSW Commerce... |
Don Mackintosh, Evidence Technology, NSW Practice Manager, today announced the signing a Government Telecommunications
Agreement (GTA) encompassing: video conferencing systems and services; ICT systems commissioning, decommissioning and
professional services.
“This is an important milestone for Evidence Technology and one that we have been working on for some time. Our
market is genuinely embracing telepresence and next generation videoconference solutions and we expect enormous benefits
to be derived by NSW Government Departments over the next few years,” Don said.
The GTA replaces existing telecommunications service agreements and consolidates a number of existing panel contracts
including 2023 – Video Conferencing Equipment and Services. The announcement is a precursor to the launch of a
new ICT ePortal by the NSW Department of Commerce.
Group General Manager Peter Carter says, “This really is very good news. Federal Government’s recent large
scale rollout of telepresence technology has sent a very strong message to the States that digital technology and more
specifically, internet based video conference solutions, can deliver real cost saving and are in keeping with governments
push towards sustainability targets”
Evidence Technologies is a leading provider of specialised audiovisual and ICT systems. Its core business is advanced
court, interview and meeting room commissioning, decommissioning and the provision of related processional services.
“This news is also very timely,” says Jason Woolridge, CEO. “It corresponds with the recent
introduction of new generation scalable video coding products into the market. The public and private sectors have been
crying out for more bandwidth sensitive internet conferencing and collaboration tools. They are now here. It is very
exiting in the current economic climate to see genuine interest in technology that delivers real cost savings and
environmental benefits.”
